My wife wants to fly to upstate NY (ROC) to see her sister then fly to Paris to meet me where we fly home together via Istanbul. We have around 166K Qantas points between us and want to book a RTW business class fare for her using Points + Pay. The question is how?

I have tried over many days using the Qantas site which sends me to the One World site, but as each leg is selected, the site just gets slower and slower until it doesn't respond at all for the last leg. I have tried phoning Qantas but all I get is "your wait time is over 10 minutes" no matter how long I hang on. (About 10 minutes).

Is there a web site that will show me what the points are worth? In other words, what would the RTW business price be if I used all the points.?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

RTW on points plus pay would more than likely be more than the cost of a classic award. Points plus pay is rarely if ever good value.

Many thanks for the super fast reply Markis10 but I am not sure I understand what you are saying. Are you saying that there is no effective value in using the points for a RTW fare? Why would that be? I am not even sure I know what a "Classic" reward is. Please forgive me.
I think it means just using the points for (say a MEL-PER-MEL) trip.

If your trying to book online a normal cash fare and you want to use some points instead of cash, you will find it an expensive use of points when it comes to $$ per point. A good use of points is to book a "classic" award around the world :

Have you booked your flights yet & if so what airlines?

Both of you could always sign up with American Airlines in the One World Alliance & also Avianca Life Miles in Star Alliance.

You don't need to have travelled on these airlines or have any points in their programs you can just buy the points you need - there may be a short waiting period of 2 weeks before you can buy points though.

Award travel in Premium cabins would be cheaper this way than buying a fare.

Many thanks for that but it seems that there are few if any reward flights left on our intended homeward leg. I will pay this time but do appreciate your advice.
