Hello! I am due to fly Mel-LHR in September with my husband and 4 year old. We are considering bidding on an upgrade with Royal Brunei for the Brunei to Heathrow leg. I am just wondering if anyone has done this? How was the process? How soon were you advised if you had been succesful?

Thank you

I've done this when flying MEL-BWN-DXB. Bid a couple of ticks above the minimum on all legs and was accepted 100%. The loads were about 10-12/18 when I flew. You find out 3-4 days before flying the leg and they debit the money then.

Food, service nothing special and it is a dry airline. No lounge access either, but ended up being $1-2k cheaper than buying outright or on QF/EK.
