Can someone point me in the right direction for searching out flights to Galapagus Island.

I've looked at LAN.com but nothing returned. bestflights.com.au has some itinerary via LAX.

Ideally flight deal from BNE-GPS return.

Any/All tips appreciated.

Have found a Bestflights flight for $2.7K on QF & LAN.

BNE-SYD
SYD-SCL
SCL-GYE
GYE-GPS

GPS-GYE
GYE-EZE
EZE-SYD
SYD-BNE

Any other ideas as to routing?

First up, if you want Galapagus Islands rather than Galveston, Texas, then I suggest you search for GPS and not GLS.

There are limited options for travel to Central America from Australia. Options are via USA (LAX, SFO and then typically either DFW, MIA or JFK), or via South America such as EZE or SCL.

For GPS, it seems most flights are via other ports in Ecuador such as GYE or UIO.

You can do this as a Circle Pacific.BNE-AKL-SCL-UIO/GYE-MIA-LAX-BNE.
We chose to do a Global explorer so as to visit Easter Island as well-BNE-AKL-PPT-IPC-SCL-UIO-MIA..........
From Quito you have to book a separate ticket out to the Galapagos.Ours was done by the TA-we used a quito agent-Columbus travel/Haugan cruises. We had no problems with them.

Thanks for picking up that typo. I'll correct my original post.

There are also various flights via MEX. :)

I should add it's not just the fare to keep in mind, but the routing and times. Flying back via LAN and Chile, the connections to Australia are really bad. Got into Sandiago at around 5 a.m and left after 2 p.m. as that was the only possibility. And Sandiago's not a very stimulating airport...

Thanks for the tips. I've passed them on to my budding frequent flyer buddy.
