With the caveat that I haven't yet flown on this configuration, I'd always take Zone A over Zone F (UD).
QF7/8 is about the only guaranteed one at present, and that will change as the aircraft get the refurb!

That was the case in September last year when that was posted; however more of the aircraft have been reconfigured since then and it is more likely than not that a Premium economy ticket will see one sitting in a Premium Economy seat.This is quite interesting. So you are suggesting that on the Sydney Dallas route, if you book a biz class fare you are actually sitting in Qantas First and if you buy premium economy you are sitting in Qantas business?
I have just made a JASA on QF22 NRT-SYD and have 3AB, for Feb 2013. Seat Map shows 4 rows in cabin.
Assuming that zone A may be refitted with Mk11 seats by then, is row 3 still a better choice than the UD.
