Hi

Looking at a trip in December 2019
Xmas in London with the in-laws then going to Reykjavik , Grindelwald , Athens and Dubai

With limited daylight in December, how many days is needed to see Iceland ?

Any recommendations on places to stay in Grindelwald ?

Are things still open in Athens in January ?
Will be using Kris award for the trip , any pointers to get as many stops on the above route ?
Looking for dep from Adl , at this point J 105k +Tax to LHR is my plan both ways

Cheers

I’ve stayed at the Hotel Derby in Grindelwald a few times. If you’re arriving by train it couldn’t be more convenient as it’s located right next to the train station.
The trains aren’t noisy, it’s the terminus for the cog railway from Interlaken and over the Kleine Scheidegg to Wengen, but the rooms on the other side of the hotel give an awesome view of the North Face of the Eiger.

We have stayed at the Hotel Caprice in Grindelwald before and it was great.
When we returned to the area this year we chose the Hotel Caprice in Wengen and that was even more superb. Stunning views

Probably better to ask the Krisflyer question in the SQ subforum: Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
