I'll be flying JQ to CNS on Thursday afternoon and was curious what the Rex lounge access policy is. In particular, I hold an AmEx Platinum card but don't have the Priority Pass card yet (it's presently in the mail). Can I get in with just the Platinum card?

That won't work, however you can ask AMEX for your Priority Pass membership number and then get Priority Pass to give you your activity password so that you get setup the membership in the Priority Pass app and use that for entry at the Rex lounge.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Agree! I never carry the physical card and haven’t come across a lounge that doesn’t accept the digital version. So I would get into your account and have your digital version ready to go ASAP.

Thank you for that advice. I gave AmEx a call last week and an agent quickly got me the membership number and I got the Priority Pass app to work on my phone. Interestingly, the REX lounge at SYD is located behind their gate and it was just a matter of showing them my digital card and an agent made the sliding door open.

Overall, I was quite impressed by the lounge. Yes it's a small lounge in comparison to the QF lounges at T3, but you know what? It wasn't overcrowded, the food was quite reasonable, and the views onto the apron were amazing!
