Anyone got experience with the Get Me Home - No charge if earlier flight has seats (standby at airport) ?

We've booked an afternoon flight and may want to fly on moring flight in the coming day due to plan change..

Do share your do we need to be at the check-in counter for standby or only applicable for passenger without check-in baggage ?

Thanks...

Did you end up trying this? My friend has just booked a Business saver fare on my recommendation so I thought I'll find out for her...

I’d be interested to know too. Given the J cabins are consistently 8/8, filled with upgrade bids from T-3, how many seats are actually left for fly forward?

To be honest it's very hard to find a J seat on Qantas within 3 hours of departure on Qantas most days on Mel Syd as I have found every time I've been cancelled and traveling business.

Agree. VA is the same. The huge benefit for VA platinum is that you can ring, anytime on the day of departure, to get moved forward. You don’t have to wait for the airport.

I don’t think Rex is copying that, but I’ll drop them a line asking them to consider!
