I was trying to book a FF Rewards Flight from JFK to LHR in PE however when I get to the review page it states that the seats will be in Economy but Qantas is still charging the 84,000 points associated with 2x PE seats.

Is PE not available on BA for the JFK to LHR flights? If this is the case why have it as an option?

I can book J class seats with AA (no J class tickets are available on BA) if I purchase some extra FF points but I have never flown with AA so have no idea if this airline is any good and whether their J class is worth the points.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

The short summary of a longer story is that AA is acceptable but BA would be a lot better if possible.

I called Qantas and even though the website states the flight is in economy when booking the flight the seats are actually Premium Economy hence the 42,000 points per seat. I think they should update the website so that message does not come up as it is confusing....

I actually decided in the end to purchase the additional points required to fly BA J class as it is an overnight flight. We are now booked on the 23.50 from JFK to LHR. Very late flight but it was the only one with J class seats left.

Hopefully it will mean we arrive in London refreshed and ready for sightseeing....
