Yikes - I just received an email from IC Ambassador.
"From 18 January 2012, Priority Club® will make changes to the number of points required for Reward Nights".
And the changes are certainly not for the better! Some CPs are up to 35,000 points and ICs up to 50,000 points per night.

Reward nights at all-inclusive resorts will include a 10,000-point supplement to cover the all-inclusive benefits. All-inclusive Reward Nights are based on double occupancy. Extra person charges apply beyond double occupancy.

I got the email this morning, clicked on the link, and was unable to determine the changes as they simply have the new costs, with nothing to compare them to.

Oohh....Thanks for the warning!! I better book some PC properties for my stays this year. They are cancelleable if my plans change!!
edit: Have now got award rooms booked at CP Terrigal, CP Canberra, CP Santiago, IC Johannesburg airport, and CP Lima to try and beat this (likely) point devaluation:(

Basically the changes relate to specific properties differing award rates.

CP - 25,000 or 35,000 points/nights depending on property (was 25,000)
IC - a new 50,000 points level.
HI - a new 20,000 points/night level.
Ind - 25,000/35,000 (was 25,000)

Not good. Hopefully award rates for most properties will stay the same.

Just posted a note on the FT thread re Ozfest in Canberra in May for those thinking about staying at CP Canberra on PC pts.

This was inevitable the way ICH group have been giving points away for the last couple of years :!:

Note some HI's will be dropping, and there is a two month grace period where the old rate can be used for bookings that have increased levels up to almost a year (360 days) in advance by calling the service centre to book.

Not good that there is essentially 'inflation' on the redemption amounts without a commensurate increase in points earnt.
Very cunning and shifty...

Is that lumping HI and HIX together? Weren't HI 25,000 before and HIX 15,000?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The word is that about 25% of properties will increase, with the others either remaining the same or dropping.

One thing to note about the HI's dropping is that if you have booked at the higher rate, then you will need to cancel and rebook to get the difference in points back:!:

Locally its not great news with two rises and no falls that I can find

Perth
IC Per now 50K

Sydney
IC Syd now 50K

Have all the changes kicked in? The 2 HIs in Mel and Drw are 25K....but I think they were at this level before but not sure? IC Mel is 40K.

The good news is that my local beach CP at Terrigal is still at 25k.

Whilst Tahiti/Moorea/Bora Bora ICs are down to 30K or 20K + 60USD?!

The two Bora Bora properties have been updated to 50K per night, but not before I snagged 6 nights at the temporary 30K rate.

Good to see the Moorea property reduced to 30K ongoing though for a more affordable option.

Spoke too soon...CP Terrigal is now 35K per night, up from 25K per night!

Better put a few advance bookings in, did not realize it when I posted but IC PER is a 20K rise, not worth it!

This is what markis10 is referring to:

Priority Club Reward Nights | Priority Club Rewards
"The Reward Night chart above is effective January 18, 2012. If the hotel that you originally planned to book now requires more points, simply call the Priority Club Service Center to reserve your Reward Night and ask for the original point price. This offer is valid through March 18, 2012."
