Hello, can I have some information on the likelihood of a successful connection. I am flying YVR-DFW-LAX-SYD. The connection in DFW is just over 1 hour and LAX just over 2 hours. Considering I have to get from International to Domestic in DFW AND Domestic to International in LAX is this a feasible route. TIA

You’ll pre-clear US immigration in Canada before departure. so you’ll be arriving as a domestic passenger.

There was a thread just recently on this same 1 hr connection at DFW… it’s doable.

In LAX there is no exit border control. You just go from one plane to the other.

2 hours is more than enough time for that.

If all the flights are on the one ticket you are protected anyway in the event of a missconnect. Gate agents have enormous flexibility there to reroute you to get you to your destination as quickly as possible.

You'll be fine. You'll "enter" the US in Vancouver where they do customs. Once you land in DFW you'll essentially be like any other domestic US passenger changing flights. The inter terminal train is pretty straightforward.

The US doesn't have outbound immigration like Australia so in LAX it will be a case of going to go your gate.

All this is based on your bags in Vancouver being tagged to Sydney. Enjoy the scenic route!!!
