I've requaled for Plat already but my new year doesn't start until September and I have a trip to DUB next month. Yes it's sneaky, but i'm wondering if I leave my FF number out of the booking and then put a reto-claim in October will the SC's be credited for my new maintaining year?

Wouldn't the rolling 12 month points calculation remove the need to do this? Also from memory other users reported that the "activity date" (i.e. the date of the flight) was the date the SCs were effective on their account.
Otherwise you'd think the system would be open to abuse.

I've had the opposite experience where the sc were credited from the date of processing rather than the activity date for a retro claim. The processing of those points on that date kicked me up a level and reset the twelve months - in effect the status credits between the activity and the processing were wasted as I was returned to nil for the purposes of requalifying.
