I will reach 50,000 qpoints this calendar year, but unfortunately I have not flown 4 sectors on AA.

Are AA enforcing the requirement that a minimum of 4 sectors must be on AA?

I have not heard any reference of AA enforcing such a rule. Perhaps a different competitive climate over there.

I rang AA last night and they said the rule is enforced - but the person did sound a bit unsure - and I think was just referring to the rules.
I'm hoping the "system" doesnt enforce it!

Presumably you already have 30K EQMs/EQPs, in which case you at least 'Gold' status.

Most reports on the FT AAdvantage forum indicate the 4 segment rule is currently not being enforced.

Note that this time last year, Qantas were not enforcing their version of this rule either - this changed about 8 months ago.
