Hello

I am doing a bit of forensic work on a travel claim, and I want to be sure of my facts before I take matters further. I am only looking for generic advice, and not detailed advice relating the specifics of this claim. If however you need some specifics in order to answer my questions, please let me know and I would be happy to PM them to you.

I am looking at a CWT quote / itinerary for travel last year, and directly below the flights is -

Mon, Jul 22
Other:
Status: Confirmed
Information: THANK YOU etc

My first question is, what does July 22 relate to? The flights were months later. Would it be the date of the original quote?

Secondly, the itinerary involves Qantas / BA business class flights (no stopover) to continental Europe, which are then broken by internal, non-Oneworld business class flights in Europe, before the return business class flights on BA (continental EU) to LHR, and Qantas back.

My question is, under that scenario, would there be any circumstances in which the checked baggage allowance included on the QF/BA flights would carry over to the internal EU non-Oneworld flights? Or would the rules for those airlines apply? On the invoice for the QF/BA flights the included bags at listed, but not on the separate invoice for the internal flights.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
