This hotel review forms part of my current Trip Report
The RPM is part of the worldwide Renaissance Hotel group and adheres to the Marriot Rewards Program. I successfully claimed a Marriott Look No Further best rate guarantee and paid US$55 per night. The LNF guarantee is the one of the best out there promising to beat any better rate by 25%! The RPM is also just around the corner from the infamous Bourbon Street so that swayed my decision. I was very tempted to stay at one of the two W’s but a night there was the same price as the three nights here. Factoring a weak AUD-USD exchange – I made the budget choice to stay at the RPM.
Arriving at check-in I was quickly met with a pleasant host who welcomed me to New Orleans. After presenting some ID and my credit card, he quickly assigns me a King bed room, as booked, when I gently query “Did I by any chance get upgraded to a nicer room?” (thinking that I am in a Starwood property and hoping for a suite upgrade). The agent swiftly and smartly says ”All our rooms are nice, Mr Alanslegal”. With a beaming smile like that, how can I argue?! I smile back and take my keys to my room – complimentary upgrade request – failed!

Near the elevator lobby, offering refreshing ice water w orange;-
