Hi,

Just last week under the Qantas DSC promotion, i booked some MEL to PER return flights for May/June. There were plenty of A330 options daily and I specifically booked this aircraft type. Now that they have my money, my flights have been changed to 737's. In fact it's not just my specific flights - all flights from MEL to PER on this day, and surrounding days are now all 737's. Also checked Sydney to Perth - those A330 flights have also been removed. I understand that aircraft types are not guaranteed, and that last minute swaps can occur, but this seems to be a deliberate decision to remove all A330s' from Perth domestic runs. I think it's a bit dishonest launching a major promotion with those a/c types listed, then immediately after the promotion ends, to remove all the A330 flights. For reference, my flights were late May through mid June. Has anything been announced about this?

Qantas... a bit dishonest..... who would have thought.

Poor old QF cannot keep the punters happy, first it’s oh no, an old coughpy unreliable A330, now it’s narrow body narrow madness
They can't keep the punters happy because they are a fundmentally flawed organisation.... with an appalling service ethic and little respect for customers or suppliers.

Once they have more of the XLR, the plan is to phase out the 737 over several years, but some of the 737 are still young enough to be used for many years to come.

One would think along with triangle routes, as more XLR arrive it will feature more prominently on flights between the East Coast and PER when it comes to domestic flights.
