Whilst it is theoretically allocated a schedule, the schedule doesn't really firm until 7 days prior.

Looks like it did SYD to LAX yesterday, any ideas what the next seven will be?
I am on SYD to LAX on the 17/10 still showing the old sitting.

I believe you have a 1/11 chance of getting the new aircraft (I believe the 12th is in Dresden for the refurb). In other words, don't count on it.

That’s ok, I actually don’t want it 😂 as I’ve got seats upstairs in the Y section, and if it’s the refurbished A380, will have go downstairs!

Unless the flight is full in whY as there's 30 fewer seats on the new config so you could end up in PE instead.

Oh! That will be good! Thanks so much for hope!

How many of the A380s should be refurbished by the end of March next year?

Doing a happy dance. I just looked up on my booking on my qf1 on 17/10, hip hip hooray, it’s the refurbished 380. My seat was same 12f on the old 380 but I moved to single seat 13a. I have request for upgrade to first, now only 2 vacant seats. I’m not that interested in upgrade now.
Keeping fingers, toes, eyes crossed plane doesn’t go tech. 😛

@moa999 Can you advise which 380s will be refurbed by end Feb. Flying SIN-MEL on QF36 in J (award) and would prefer to know in advance if likely to get bumped due to less seats in J.

3 were complete by mid-December.
QF is running a full schedule of Dec/Jan with all 12 aircraft, the next one (or more likely two) won't go in for refurb until Feb.

@moa999 Thanx
So the refurbed are OQK OQK and OQJ (version 2 on QF website seatplans).
Do you have a link to which a/c are scheduled to fly which routes by date. I have seen this but can't find it now. TIA

Just realised that the refurbs now have 70 J seats compared to 64 on the old version, so maybe not so much of a problem as I thought.
