I've got a UA booking that I'm thinking of cancelling as I might not have enough time to make the connection should my CX flight be delayed. The fare itself is non-refundable. I'm fine with that, but what I want to know is will UA refund the taxes. I've tried getting an answer from UA but they've been fairly ambiguous in their answers. So has anyone cancelled a UA ticket and gotten the taxes back? If so, what is the best way to go about it?
