REFUND ON ECONOMY X

Had a booking from awhile ago and paid for econX and will be platinum before the flight(hence free econX) and was hoping for a refund.
I know I will have to ring customer service but was wondering if any one had any experience with this before I do.

Yep . I actually asked this question when phoning Virgin Australia whilst Gold (I wanted to secure my seat selection, as the Platinum would only kick in a couple of days before my flight) - they told me it could be refunded if I phoned up and requested it when I became Platinum.

Sure enough I did, and got the refund .

Thanks Sludge321 I am going to have a 3 day window going to platinum before this flight so I hope the SCs post quickly
