Got offers to upgrade to NZ for $A80 each way. Off discount fares.

Seems super cheap - anyone else seen this low?

Was the usual "bid" deal but as Plats it will likely clear - we have Row #3 with so far blocked middle seat so on Virgin 737 no difference except a meal really, but for $80 may give it a shot.............

Was an email re "new discount Biz upgrade trial offers" or something.

Ross yes I certainly did. :D

Can't believe they are that low! Anyone else seen foreign buy ups that low before? I usually see SYD-MEL far higher than that as i recall?

Loads show biz cabin almost empty so I guess it makes business sense to them.

Has not been confirmed yet of course so fingers crossed.

LST-MEL min bid is $95 for me right now!!!
BNE-MEL did not drop. $150 minimum on a getaway as usual. Flight is today (Sunday).

Likewise forward booking in June MEL-PER-MEL, both minimum bid of $340. Waste of money. Much better off buying a freedom + using points if you want to fly J, IMO.

Still a decent price for the BNE flight, but I would prefer the $150 in my pocket.

Virgin confirmed both $80 upgrades today to CHC and even automatically allocated us front row seats.

Took them down to 1 seat left in the business cabin 2 days out, so an interesting algorthyn they must use.

Was checking my credit card statement today and see a charge today Sunday for $A160.

Go to my Virgin account and see that Business seats 1D/1F are allocated for our WEDNSDAY flight.

Virgin oddly has not bothered to tell me of any of this. Strange.
