Redemption Ticket taxes using Kris Flrer points on NZ & Infant Booking

Planning a return flight to Auckland from Melbourne on NZ J Class using KF points and wondering if anyone can advise what the taxes would be for the return flight?

Also we may be taking our baby son (under 2) but havent decided for sure can we make our points booking for ourselves and then do a paid booking to add him later if we decide to take him and would it still be 10% of the fare?

The taxes on my Krisflyer redemption (BHE-AKL-PER) came out pretty close to what ITA says, so for MEL-AKL return it should be around $153 each.

I made an infant booking PER - FRA, FRA - JFK, JFK - PER and SQ charged me 10% off the full fare J which equate to approx. AUD1700.
Just used ITA tool and that costs infant at approx. AUD1100. Have I been ripped of by SQ?

Hi Magnum,
We have taken our infant daughter twice now to Singapore in J. Got charged about $400 each time (return) so it seems to me this is about 10% of adult fare. Both times we booked our flights with points then rang SIA to make the infant booking and asked them to add it to our redemption booking. Easy process and SIA are great with kids on board. The extra space and service in J is a life saver although they require you to wake and nurse your infant if the seatbelt light comes on....

I am about to book 2 adult J seats on NZ Melbourne-Auckland returm using KF points, I then need to add an infant paid fare to the booking who do contact to add the infant booking KF or NZ.

It's been a while since you posted this so I'll put up my suggestion although I haven't specifically done the infant seat.

Make the adult redemption booking with SQ and they will issue you a booking reference. SQ will be using their own booking reference which will be different to the NZ PRN. Ask them for the NZ booking reference. With the NZ number, call NZ and ask to add the infant to that booking reference.
