Hi all,

I'm looking into redeeming flight credits I have received due to the recent closure of pretty much every state border with NSW over Christmas.

I (wrongly) assumed that these credits were essentially like a store credit where you have an allocated dollar amount you can spend on whatever you like, but it seems there are more Terms and Conditions than I thought.

In this example my wife and myself are named on the credit for roughly $500. My plan was to use that towards a J flight from SYD to ADL (going for the status fast track) for myself and to book my wife on the same flight using points.

So my questions are really as follows: Has anybody successfully used these credits? What pitfalls did you encounter/overcome when you were doing this? How can I use my flight credits to hit my remaining 80 SC for the fast track with a minimal points and cash outlay?

If you are wanting to do something more than just a "straight" online redemption of the voucher my suggestion would be to call QF and ask them if it is possible to do what you want to do with your voucher(s). Often manual intervention can do more than what the online redemption process allows. If the call centre agent doesn't seem to have the right level of knowledge as them to check with a supervisor and/or hang up and call again.

Its been a while since I have had to cancel a flight but thanks to a cancellation of a conference in Perth, I ended up with a flight credit .
It says as below . Does this mean that I can only use the credit to pay for a flight that is completed by the 18 may 2022 or does it mean that I have to book a flight by the the 18 May 2022 and that flight needs to take place within 12 months of 18 May 2022?
Flight credit valueAUD $xx_
Flight credit valid until18 May 2022
