Hi there,

I have managed to accumulate 3185 Hertz points and want to use them in the Gold Coast in September.

I have tried on a number of occasions to use these points at various locations in Australia and I always get an error message saying that there are either no cars or the location doesn't allow redemption.

Has anyone successfully redeemed these points?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I tried to redeem points today. But it was only valid on certain cars
Said it gave me a '$96' discount but the price went up $500
How does that work

The online engine isn't very friendly for award redemptions. I recommend calling Hertz customer service to get more options, especially when booking cars for overseas travel.

I have yes. Cant really help much though, sometimes I get this message, sometimes I don't, one tip though. Remove any promos/discount codes etc before trying, if you have these it always seems to error.

I have not been able to redeem for any car hire requiring the 550 miles/day rate. Always no saver availability. Perhaps it is best done by calling.

I think it's limited Availability and is also location dependent, and only for classes up to standard.

i've had limited luck booking in Australia, but OK booking in the USA. The presence of rate codes don't seem to bother it where I have succeeded. There is always a small fee for taxes. Not sure how they work that out.
