With family working and living in Memphis, Tennessee, a twice a year visit gave us a chance to look at a new destination on the way: San Diego. Flew QF to LA and a short flight to SD. Booked something central in the Gaslamp district and it was a blast with great walking to the harbour, the Italian quarter and a cheap tram system to get as far as The Mexican border. Be warned that it will be warmer than anticipated with mid twenties weather. Great for a stop over, when Memphis experiences minus 2. Wild restaurant scene, live music ( until 3 am in weekends), but great US hospitality
