Recommendation on airline from DEN > LAX and time allowence

Hi there,

I am flying out of LAX in September on VA2 @ 2345

I will be in Colorado that day

What airline do people recommend to fly from DEN to LAX and what should be the latest time I get to LA?

I am looking at UA 765 - Arrive at LA @ 1945

Is 4 hours enough time?

Anyone recommend a better airline than UA? I want to fly direct

Southwest Airlines fly this route, and there are no bag fees.

Maybe its more time than you want; there are later ones I just wouldn't want to be on the last flight.
