Recommend me a hotel in PHL

Questions for the brains trust.

Looking for a hotel near the Philadelphia convention centre (walking distance ideally rather than cab each way).

Recommendations?

Preference for IHG or Hilton group but open to suggestion.


Also recommendations on department stores (paging mrs.dr.ron) and restaurants (table for 1......).

Hilton Garden Inn is OK, nothing special. Le Meridien is great, but can be VERY expensive!
