So, I have a bunch of travel coming up in the next three months, and want to maximise the benefit I get from it - it'll be:

  • MEL-CDG (final destination is ANE)
  • MEL-AKL x3
  • MEL-BNE x2
  • MEL-CBR x2
  • and possibly a MEL-TOK trip.

I won't fly QF anymore (I've had an exceptionally bad run with cancellations), and prefer VA domestically. I also haven't been travelling much lately, so there's no current status on any FF program (I'm a member of NZ's Airpoints and VA's Velocity).

I'm currently leaning towards booking MEL-CDG with SG and using the Aegean Miles and Bonus program to hit Aegean/Star Alliance Gold, then putting the domestic travel through VA/Velocity. Is there any other way to maximise status accrual out of this travel?

EDIT: Clarifying - economy class on these.
