Applied in February, cancelled two weeks ago via scanned email latter to the client service email address. All good and cancelled, and 5,000 points in the bag. Cheers OP!

If you've been charged, I reckon 90% chance they won't post at all now.
You'll have to email after the requisite 6 or 8 weeks.

I agree, those who have posted her have indicated they posted with the original payment, personally would chase now. While they might say this will not happen until after 6-8 weeks you'll hpfully get them to acknowledge the points are due so when you go back the second time the argument is already had.

Often points post immediately; those that don't get them then will never get them and if you email now they will say "wait 6-8 weeks" (or whatever the T+Cs say). Then you will not ge tthe points at all and have a good chance of forgetting. When you do email them they will give the points straight away with an apology, in my experience.

That said, I do always email at about the 2-4 week mark as you don't lose anything but maybe 1 minute of your time.

I had success with my DJ AMEX Plat card where there was a 4000 point bonus for something and I hadn't received it, called them up and the agent manually credited the extra points straight away.


I got the first lot of bonus points and I took out another policy yesterday in my name with another AMEX, any chance of receiving bonus points?

I'm a bit surprised by this, maybe I've overestimated the reach of AFF. The onepath offer definitely changed because of the number of people applying then cancelling but maybe not the same volume here.

Update:

Emailed through a signed letter stating my intention to cancel.

Received a confirmation letter via mail about 1-2 weeks later confirming that my policy has been cancelled.

Points posted upon first debit of premium ($5), all in all a very worthy investment.
