I am still not at all pleased with the changes, and have written to GPO Box 4357 in Melbourne, and even got a phone call (I couldn't take the call at the time the CSA rang), but I got the recording, that my letter has been passed to the appropriate section.
So, for the rest of you, did you take any action?
Yes, I do realise QF has the right to change the QFF system as they see fit, but still, its a huge change, as I would have easily made Silver this upcoming year, from Jul to Jun 2015.
I guess its no use kicking up a stink?
Did anyone else write to QFF?
Seeing VA is also not that flash, (Silver wise).

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Im sure QF will know the problems they have caused when people start voting with their feet.

Burn baby, BURN!

Just requal WP last month and now going to burn all my points on classics rather than purchase flights which I then charge back to my clients. This way I put some $ back in my pocket and will worry about status later, if at all. QF will get far less from me for a few months, at least.
Not even going to use JASA' s in the limited time they are remaining.

As I can also credit my Citi card to Virgin I may also try them out.

Thanks QF.

I am not going anywhere.

In saying that I am not happy with the new points earn. SCs earn is OK but it is the points earn that worries me. Dropping the 1,000 minimum guarantee is a mistake and the earning on discount economy to SE Asia is now poor compared to Jetstar which is a joke really as Jetstar is a LCC and that is how Qantas wants to continue to market it.

I am not going to fly Virgin more. Far from it. They have not done anything to deserve more of my money. I may scrape in Gold again with them by September but I cannot see myself doing too much extra flying with them unless there is a short cut offered to status along the way.

Perhaps I will now use my QFF points and Amex points for travel to SE Asia for the next 3-4 years instead of cash fares.

What QFF?
I have been crediting QF flights to AAdvantage for years.
Have also been crediting eligible Air NZ flights to US Airways (to become AA miles in the future)

I'm waiting to see if they adjust anything that has been risen (such as the lower SC earn on partners where no QF code exists and the lower SC earn on AU-Asia) and the new partner point earn tables.
Based on travel patterns of the last 4 years, I'll still make WP with the changes, but I won't be getting the extra choices at 2400.

Otherwise, I'm trying to make sense of the other oneworld programs to see if any will work with my travel plans.

I decided chasing status was all too hard. A direct result of the changes was that I cancelled a MAD-MEL-MAD QF booking (8800 EUR) and rebooked direct with EK (5500 EUR). I can live without the SCs and saved $5000 for exactly the same flights.

I've come to the realisation that since I always travel J or F anyway, WP status doesn't really give me much extra - so if I drop to SG next year I won't cry too hard.

There is still plenty of time to use JASA, just need to book it by the end of June.

Yes, wrote to QFF (hardcopy letter). No reply.

Am not giving up on QFF - will requal for plat early May with another trip to Nth America on Circle Pacific - to HKG and YVR on CX and QF LAX back to Oz, credited to QFF. Happy to drink their Champagne in the Flounge.

Then for the next 4 or 5 trips to Nth America this year it'll be entirely CX if the client is OK with that, or CX and QF metal, codeshare all credited to AAdvantage.
