Hi,

I understand that there is a specific travel insurance section on AFF, however as this is a somewhat dry subject, I am not sure how many would bother to read and respond to this question if posted in that section :)

We have booked 13 days rafting through the Grand Canyon, cost was over $7k. Any recommendations for a policy to cover against cancellation or deferment of trip due to injury occurring prior to the trip, death in the family etc?

Not to mention any accident or sickness on the actual trip, not only for costs incurred but cover to re-book and finish the trip at a later date.

Also looking to cover hire car policy no claim bonus and pre-booked hotel stays.

Suggestions for brokers specialise in cover this type of trip also appreciated.

Thanks!

Cheers,

Jason

Have a good read of the Travel Insurance sub forum
For specialized advice try a broker or contact the travel insurance companies. Adventure type activities are often excluded (high risk) or have high premiums. A "holiday" in a US hospital and a US-Aust medical evacuation will send you bankrupt
