Haven't seen anything on AFF about the Radisson Big Night Getaway. Is anyone looking at participating?

In a nutshell, once registered and after one stay, you earn 50000 Club Carlson points (enough for 1 night in any Carlson property).

With the prices of the few Radissons here in Australia, the cost of the 50000 points is around twice what you'd get them in the US for. Still might be good value if you have an upcoming US stay to earn the points, or heading to Europe to spend them.

Thoughts?
 
Thats a great heads up, $129 for 50000 points or 8000 AA or BA miles is great value.
 
Nice work on finding a room that cheap. With no Radisson in Perth anymore, I'm looking at $199 for a night in Melbourne next week. No other travel planned over east before the promotion ends, so that's my only chance.

I have 50,000 points from last years promotion.. And a Europe trip coming up with some stays not accounted for yet.
 
$160 for Melbourne on advance purchase can be had. Will think about this one.
 
Signup is 3PM today BTW. My 50000 points is now $115 :), and I have applied for a status match with my Hilton/IC or Accor Plant ;)

3pm is a good time for us :) I got matched HHGold to CC Silver.

I've posted this on FT too but does anyone know if the BRG will apply by useing HotelClub and ebates 13% cashback that they are running at the moment? Could bring my stay at Radisson Flagstaff down to $140 for the night.

I have registered and booked one night at Radisson Flagstaff. $160.85 + $10 Cashback.

Will be at HSW the night before actually so will zip across to Radisson.

Not the cheapest for sure but will boost the points balance a fair bit and will be looking to redeem for 1 or 2 nights in Paris in July.
 
Agreed the time is certainly much better for us than those in the US.

I was able to register after a few tries - seemingly it has been a popular promotion.

Unfortunately my planned stay in Melbourne has been delayed. Need to convince Mrs dejium to get over there before July 15.
 
Any way of telling if you're in the first 100000 registered? It doesn't seem to tell you. After the first 100000 you only get 15000 points.
 
I got an email stating:

"THANK YOU for registering for the Radisson Big Night Giveaway. You are receiving this email to confirm that you have successfully registered and are eligible to earn 50,000 bonus Gold Points[SUP]®[/SUP].Simply complete a qualifying one night stay at any Radisson[SUP]®[/SUP] or Radisson Blu hotel now through July 15, 2012 and earn enough bonus Gold Points[SUP]®[/SUP] for a FREE night at any Radisson location worldwide."

I guess if you get this, you're in.
 
Some of you guys get such advance notice of this promo ;)

I only received my email tonight, 15/5/12 at 1048pm!! Which I signed up immediately and received the confirmation email as above. 50K gets me one night in NYC so hopefully I can find a cheap room in Asia somewhere ;)
 
I just registered now (0520 AEST 16 May 2012) and was still successful. I received the same email as dejium in post 13 above.
 
I just registered too at 10.15am and received the same message as Dejium

One night at Radisson Flagstaff Melbourne on pre paid rate for $149.50 with an option to upgrade for $15.00
 
just registered and received my confirmation email...we have two stays at the Raddison Blue Toulouse during June and July.
