Quickest international SYD turnaround

What is the quickest turnaround from flying into SYD back out again ?
I have a LHR flight getting me back in 8.30 am one day and I am pondering departure to LAX either that evening or next day
Both flights are/will be Qantas

I wouldn't do it.
2.5 days would be the min if I was doing it.
Or I would do a direct UK - US flight.
UK - Au - US in your short timespan will be so much grief if a plane on 1 of your sector goes non operative.

I have now realised I, hopefully , can change my flights coming home and will come home via LAX

I guess it's all relative and depends what the purpose of the travel is. I have flown back from Europe to Australia and flew back to the US a few hours later. But these were two separate trips paid by different people. If it had been personal trips I would have simply flown accross the Atlantic and saved myself 35 hours in the air.

This is a holiday which has been changed numerous times lol.
So thank you I am hoping to have my flights changed tomorrow as going direct is much easier all round than the home and back over

I arrived in SYD on a Monday morning from HKG and flew back to BKK on EK that evening as my daughter was born on Sunday morning after I'd left CNX and BKK.

Boy that was a tiring 6-7 weeks flying back and forth.

As a follow up I have changed all my flights and going to LAX on a direct BA business flight and leaving LAX on Qantas first back to Sydney
Only cost a few hundred in extra taxes and the 5000 change fee.
