Quick trip to Perth in J

I had a conference in Perth become an option a couple of months ago. Checking it out it looked great, interesting lectures, affordable and I had an accomodation offer with friends. I also had some virgin WP upgrades that were due to expire. Checking flights there were A330 flights over and back from Melbourne, these were something I had yet to try and with the steady removal of them from transcontinental routes to service new OS routes I thought 'why not'. The virgin help line were very helpful finding flights that had availability so the trip was made. There were only 4 of us on the flight over, and it seemed I was the only one drinking champagne. I hope you enjoy the pictures, I certainly enjoyed the trip.

The weather was dreadful, wind and rain and cold. Made it seem like I had not left Hobart.

I have been extremely impressed with the Virgin Transcon flights. Little touches like greater choice of wines, the pantry options, a proper cheese plate, and Nespresso coffee give these flights a slightly more premium feel than Qantas.

I was very happy with it, had same seat on way over and way back. Private, like just about all the seats, but more private in my view than 1a.
