I am trying to help a good colleague of mine to get to HNL for her 60th birthday in late July 2008. It will be her 1st time overseas by herself.
She wants to get there as cheaply as possibly.
The cheapest I've found is $1440 incl of taxes flying QF product, not codeshare JQ.
Flying JQ would be around $780+++ one way to HNL and there are many QF award return flights.
So to help her get there as cheaply as possibly, would I be able to book an award HNL-SYD flight for her? She does not belong to the QFFP so I can't exactly transfer 36k across and let her do it herself.
I am willing to use 36k for her, otherwise should I wait wait wait (or is it likely) for any possible last minute JQ sale that does HNL rtn for <$800 incl taxes.
