Just landed in BNE and was advised my next flight to NTL had been cancelled. Qantas has rebooked me on VA
After fetching suitcase form Baggage services I headed over and booked in with VA and was offered upgrade to J for $200 so I took it ;) 🍺 couldn't be bothered walking from QP down to gate 41 and losing time. Plus I have never been in the VA lounge before so it had to happen :p another bonus is flying on a jet instead of the Dash8

So question is, am I still entitled to my DSC's for cancelled leg ? Was banking on 80SC's for the EMD-BNE-NTL return trip

Cheers CM 🥂

Ask for Original Routing Credit (and note the DSC offer as well)..

If you have a VA account you'll likely be able to double dip as well

I have a VA account that is on life support so will definitely go for the double dip.

Who do I chase up the ORC with ? Not something I ever encountered before .

Regards CM

Send an email to [email protected] setting out the details of your original flight (PNR etc), your FF number, what happened, and ask for “original routing credits” - use those words. Ensure you mention that the flight was eligible for DSC. No need to go into any details about the VA upgrade etc.

You should get a reply within 24-48 hours confirming the credit to your account.

Keep original boarding passes and other records of the flights until it’s resolved.

It is usually sorted quite easily without any fuss.
