Hello
After going through the terms and conditions I can't clarify an issue that hopefully someone here may be able to.

I note that when earning status credits for example you earn on a point to point basis and not on a per sector basis (unless booked seperately of course).
So when it comes to using upgrades on a flight booked OOL-MEL which is made up of 2 sectors (OOL-SYD, SYD-MEL) is this considered ONE upgrade or two???

Many thanks in advance for the genius who can work this one out for me.

:-)

One upgrade.

Before the MEL-PER route utilised A330's I used to travel MEL-SYD-PER and that required a single complimentary upgrade because it was booked MEL-PER...if that makes sense.

Yep, will cost only one upgrade. I do this frequently out of CBR as most times i have to hub through MEL or SYD to get anywhere.

It's the one benefit to DJs silly sector classification, pretty good value CNS TSV when you route via BNE.

Does the silly sector classification also apply to short haul international. Eg if I'm flying ZQN-SYD via MEL will I receive 2 sets of SC's or will it be like domestic?

I don't have the facilities to look up the answer right now but if you have a computer or a telephone then I'm sure you could do so yourself.

Having said that I'm sure it would be classed as one sector.

Silly - depends on your opinion. (I personally don't think so)

Different - yes :!:

It applies to flights that have DJ flight numbers.
