Hi all

jut after some info on seating on sydney to bangkok flight on a Airbus Industrie A330-200. I have got good sale prices on cattle class and was wondering which seat were the better ones? I have looked at booking exit row seat are these worth the extra $80? Thanks

Flew up on this flight a couple of days ago. if you don't get a exit row, avoid the windows and inside aisle seats as they have those annoying entertainment boxes bolted to the floor in front of you that take up a third of your leg room. I will be asking for a side row seat on the way home.

I haven't flown exit row on one of these but seatguru suggests there is significant intrusion by the emergency slide when seated in 45AK. OTOH it suggests 45BJ are ok.

hrmm well i wonder if im better off booking 45b and 45c then. will have to speak to the wife to be and ask if she is happy to sit across from each other. thanks for the reply

I flew BKK-SYD a couple weeks ago on an A333, so although not exactly the same, it should be pretty similar. I was sat in 45A and the exit slide does not impede on leg room. It is actually quite useful as a foot rest as it is the right height and distance from your seat. I was also easily able to get up without disturbing the person in 45B. You may need to hold on the handle on the wall to get into your seat.

I have been booked on some international A330-200 flights lately and they have been swapped for A330-300 close to departure. Not such a big issue going from the 200 to 300 as the seating layout is so similar (e.g. row 45 is exit row on both). Just something to be aware of.

23A has worked well for me, especially for daytime flights. For overnight flights I don't think a blukhead is so good as far as foot room goes.

One thing to consider with the exit row is that it is right by the toilets. So you'll get people milling around at times.
