Question for RedRoo: has QF stopped selling EK F class ticxs (Au - NZ)?

I am planning for one more F trip SYD - NZ in F either Dec or maybe next year, but seems that QF booking system keeps bringing up an error.
Booking is still possible for Oct this year.
Have a J seat booked on EK (with a 4 digit QF flight number) CHC - SYD 26dec16.
Has QF stopped selling EK F tickets Au - NZ or is there a glitch?

It is probably just a glitch as you say.

Searching SYD-AKL in 2017 in F returns an error message, however MEL-AKL and BNE-AKL in F are showing up without issue.

Hey Pooch,

Why not phone QF? If you can't book it online there would be no fee - and you'd get both your answer and your F ticket.

If and when you do manage to book it AP you'll be able to shower onboard :mrgreen: A380 CHC to SYD


EDIT: This may be the cause of the glitch. Service starts end of Oct.

I was only checking prices, but did notice it. I was only doing a Multi-city search, so it may appear in single sector search. Not sure? I just found it curious, as in the past, it has always shown up as an option.

Is likely a connection issue.. either the connection to LA(?) doesn't work, or doesn't autoprice. Probably do-able by a better online search engine, or TA or on the phone.

This thread should probably be merged into the QF website is a nightmare one

this is the issue for AP - it's not the lack of SYD-AKL QF codeshare flights, it's the inability for the online search engine to find them - specially for a connection from ADL.

Easily solved with a phone call to QF or a travel agent.

Nothing surprises me with the booking engine these days - especially if attempting multi-sector bookings. But as others have said, a phone call always fixes.

Hi, just checked this out and there aren't any fares loaded in our systems for SYD - NZ past 30 October 2016. Emirates haven't loaded these fares with us, I've been told if you wait about 24 hours and try again they should appear. If this isn't the case, can you let me know and I will raise it.

This CHC change coincides with AKL getting an a380 direct from Dubai. Looks like the Syd-akl a380 will be lost. Suits me better.

Interesting if EK is ditching SYD-AKL indeed. I'm quite surprised, but it may well see QF upguage a service or two?

it would explain this, but perhaps this is a new change that EK have decided to drop it, though I would have thought over the summer season there would be far more demand for SYD-AKL v.v. that EK could sell out.

12DEC:

SYD-CHC shows EK418 77W cancelled
CHC-SYD shows EK419 77W not cancelled but zero'd out
no 380 flights but presume they are going to be loaded.
