Query about Fiji Airways

I've flown with them. Basic service. LAX via NAN? If I recall correctly there was a significant stop over in NAN required.

Has anyone flown them? Cheapest option to bring someone back from LA, $800. Keen to hear from anyone who has flown with them. Thanks.
They are acceptable and I would consider them. Above LCC standards but not really a full service carrier either.

As Dr Ralph suggests you should check the stopover time in Nadi.

Flew them LAX-NAN in J using QF points.
Found them to be quite reasonable.
The quality of the J cabin really surprised me. Very new and fresh and not quite fully flat but not far off either. I slept well.

I was thinking of redeeming points for a J flight from Honolulu - there seems to be a layover in the flight Hon-Nan which would be a killer.

Two flights Brisbane - Nan and Nan - Sydney, both in J over Xmas, excellent service, mediocre food, seat was acceptable, IFE poor, but saying that both aircraft we were on weren't the latest fit outs.

Would hate to do in Y, some Fijians are big boys

I'd heard the food wasn't great. But it would beat the slop I had last week on SQ J  which smelt bad, slimy, gristly and inedible and which I sent back basically uneaten.

Check the aircraft type for NAN-HNL - it used to be operated by a 737 - not the A330 with nice new cabin.

As for service in economy... Fiji amended their in-flight offering last year - they used to have a cold snack box on flights from Australia in economy - i think that's gone back to a 'meal' now.
