Qatar airways introduced two new routes for their A380s: Guangzhou & Sydney!

The service to SYD will start 15SEP16:

QR908 DOH2215 – 1915+1SYD 388
QR909 SYD2150 – 0520+1DOH 388

As reported here: QATAR Airways Adds New A380 Destinations in 16Q3 | Airline Route

Very exciting news to see one of the best airlines in the world sending its best plane including First Class and reverse herringbone Business Class (same as on A350 which already flys to ADL).

What's even more exciting is that award seats are already available and can be booked:

DOH-SYD in F 100,000 AA miles
LHR/CDG-DOH-SYD in F 115,00 AA miles.

SYD-DOH in F 152,000 QF points plus ~AU377 taxes.
LHR/CDG-DOH-SYD in F will cost 203,000 QF points.

So happy with this. I booked 2 J seats as a QF classic award the other week and almost didn't book QR because of the 777. But did it anyway as it was the easiest way to get to BUD. But now it's changed to the A380 and so I'm stoked at that. Looking forward to experiencing it.

Very good availability on A380, at least two seats in F.
I've Booked CDG-DOH-SYD in April 17 for 203K QFF + $AU573 taxes.

Great news. Looking forward to trying their F product soon.
