I did a quick AFF search and couldn't find any recent threads.
I'm looking at blowing 192,000 Qantas points on QR F SYD-DOH-LHR in early 2018 but I don't seem to see much availability on QF.com.au. I see QF, EK, BA and CX, but nothing from QR. Do I need to ring up QF or is there just very little F availability?

Many thanks.

A few months back QR seemed to pull a lot of their award inventory from their premium cabins from both MEL and SYD. I find there's availability ex DOH but not ex SYD/MEL and I've been watching it fairly closely. Don't know when/if this will be corrected.

I'm struggling to find any QR F availability to or from Australia. Even J availability seems quite difficult.

Note that since QR is classed as a Partner Airline for the purposes of Classic Awards, it will cost 203,000 points for F (in zone 10) rather than 192,000 points.

They seem to release at least 2 F SYD-CDG pretty reliably if that's of use (both sectors A380)

Additional to whether award seats are in the inventory, Qantas' web site will NOT show any award flights (or any flights at all for that matter) originating in DOH. To DOH, yes, but from DOH, no. Check it out on the QF booking engine; very strange, but I think a known bug. It MAY affect award availability (but dunno ...)

I suggest calling Qantas and ask for a booking, pointing out its not bookable on-line; no fee of course in that case, IF inventory exists.

Yep. Alas, I'm keen to try something other than QF or EK. :)

Very helpful, thanks! I had a quick look on qf.com.au (for Feb/March 2018) and the only options that ever come up are EK, CX or QF. I might need to give them a call!

I was hoping to avoid calling QF but it seems I may have no alternative.

Thanks all for your input.
