Looking at using QR in 2020 (mid-July) for SYD-DOH-FRA but my dates aren't open yet - however when I search the week prior (which is open) AA displays availability on QR in business - amazing!! but when I search the same route for the same date (July 9) neither QF or BA show any availability on QR.

Is this a case phantom availability or does AA get award inventory that QF and BA do not. Anyone had experience with this?? (I started to do a dummy booking but got as far as entering passenger details and the AA website refused to accept one of our FF numbers so I gave up - not entering one was not an option. If I had wanted to book it for real I would have called AA).

I'd say it might even be the married segments rule. AA sometimes shows aadvantage redemptions on QR which whilst looking legit initially are married segments and won't ultimately book (because there is no published fare for that journey at all or in the correct fare buckets).

I could be completely wrong for your situation, but the above is what I had a few months ago.

i'm getting the same thing, looking to a PER-DOH-CWL or LHR flight, shows it's there, doesn't allow to book, phoned the AA number and they can't actually see it at all, it's for the 7th August next year, today is the first day they should be available?
