Hi All,

I will be travelling from Singapore to Gold Coast via Sydney airport. I got a couple of questions:

1. On arriving Sydney, do I need to clear customs? Or just transit to the departure hall?

2. If I do need to clear customs/border, I will need to bring my luggages to the transfer desk. Is there a time the desk is open?

3. Is the qantas domestic transfer reopen?

4. Finally, how hard is it to lug baggage and 2 kids from T1 to T3?

Thanks.

1. SYD - OOL is a domestic flight so you'll clear immigration, collect checked luggage and clear customs at SYD.

2. International -> domestic currently the QF domestic transfer desk is not open and the QF bus is not operating. You'll need to bring your bags across to domestic via T bus (free), train ($), or taxi ($$).

3. No.

4. If the kids are little and/or you have lots of bags consider taking a taxi to transfer. While the walk to the T bus or train isn't long it could be confusing if you haven't done it before.

Thanks. Did abit more digging and it seems Qantas buses are avaliable but lesser availability. Here

From reports on FT
QF bus T3 to T1 is running.
QF bus T1 to T3 is *not* running.

4 T1 to T3 is about 4km, so need transport. Follow the signs to T-bus, train or taxi.. How much time between your flights?

QF bus with limited hours for dom -> int.
