I've always thought QF's duty free was a lot more expensive compared to its competitors, but last night flying back into MEL...

Bought 2 x Absolut Vodka 700ml (with free gift pack of 5 x 50ml flavoured vodka bottles) = 2 x $20 = $40
Bought 2 x Moet & Chandon 200ml = 2 x $20 - $5 discount for buying 2 bottls = $35
1% CC surcharge $0.75

All up $75.75, plus a few FF points.

i had a similar experience,

have never even looked at any airlines duty free, was on a QF flight 2 weeks ago, really tired didn't want to dawdle thru DDDF, had promised my GF I'd pick up a chanel fragerance, so grabbed the catalogue and bought it....

anyway ended up in DDDF because i forgot some other stuff, and QF was 10 bucks cheaper and wrapped it nicely for me plus FF points

was pleasantly suprised, thought it would have been a rip off!
