Should I complain? To whom?

Should I demand compensation?

What compensation is sufficient for taking 72,000 hard-earned points from my personal QFF account?

And it gets worse! They have now removed my pre-assigned seat for my flight tomorrow? I had very carefully selected 43H when it became available at T-80. Now ExpertFlyer is showing that seat as unallocated!! And the Qantas Manage My Booking tool does not allow me to select 43H any more? What is going on with my booking?

What is the world coming to??

So now I think I am justified in politely requesting (not demanding of course, I would not want to make a scene or have a DYKWIA moment) to be upgraded to business class on my next Qantas flight. Perhaps if they give me an upgrade I'll accept it as suitable compensation for removing the points from my account and we can call it all square ;).

Sounds like a LAX upgrade Y-J amount.

Perhaps you've triggered a setting telling QF to upgrade all flights in your Bookings!

So you mean your upgrade request was successful?
Yeah, that would be the less emotive way to put it.

It came through well before T-24 hours. Not sure exactly when, as I was asleep, but saw it at about T-36 hours.

Have you booked the limo and eat on Q?

Just checked and the system allowed me to book the Chauffeur Drive for the arrival to home. So thanks for the prompt or I would have been slumming it in a regular cab from the rank. Meal selection is booked too.

Thought it would ;) enjoy.

I have a long transit at LAX, so will be utilising T4 AAdmirals Club lounge for a few hours, then meeting an old friend for dinner at P F Changs, so thought I should select a light meal option for supper (will be well after midnight before service, especially as I have almost adjusted to eastern timezone now). At least it should include the full breakfast and not the cafe disaster selection (even the Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites free breaky has something that looks like eggs).
