QFF Sydney - Hawaii

Hi All

have been looking at a quick trip from Sydney to Honolulu and the QF search engine seems to have two options..

1. Syd-Hnl direct

2. Syd-Hnl via Fiju, and Christmas Island

Am I silly? Isn't Christmas Island the wrong direction? Christmas Island doesn't appear as a Qantas destination in the miles calculator..

there are 2 Christmas Islands.
One Indian Ocean and one in Pacific.
The Pacific one is part of the island country of Kiribati.

I doubt though it is a stop off for Hawaii
