Looking for some help from AFF'ers in working out how many QFF status credits I will earn on the following 2 flights.

1. Flying LAN 806 which is on QF27 metal from Sydney to Santiago in business class.

2. Flying LAN 772 from Santiago to Rio de Janero also in business class.

If I have worked it out correctly I will be 30 credits short of attaining gold so I think I will need to use some points before the JASA's get canned and do a BNE - SYD J class trip and earn an extra 40 credits and that will put me into gold when I come back from South America.

Geezus - from the information provided by Red Roo, JASA's are not on the chopping board...

Ok we'll that's good but has anyone got an answer to my question

Ok, thanks for that so I take it that even though it is a LAN flight and ticket but traveling on QF metal, I will receive the same credits as if it were a QF flight number.

Provided its in the right fare bucket yes - no difference. The only difference may be number of points earned.

I think the more interesting part of the topic is where you are going to find the extra 30 SC's. :)

You might want to look into booking it as an LAN flight rather than QF. The fare buckets are a little different...

As per item 1 in my OP I am booked as LA 806 which code share with QF27 metal and is a direct flight. Any other LAN flight is via AKL
