QFF Business to LAX

Hi,I am looking to book a business class ticket using points for end of next year.I was told it should come to about 220k points.How do I go about redeeming it? I don't really care about carrier I just want a flat bed.Browsing Qantas site shows.. nothing :S.Cheers

Do you have the dates you are looking for, as this is important in providing an answer?

Log into your QFF account. On the booking page, when the flights become available, put in the dates and route you want - and up will come the revenue fares available for purchase, and the award seats available for each class. Pick the ones you want.

Note - award seats generally become available 353 days before departure. J and F award seats go pretty quickly, so get in early. It might pay to book the two flights, there and back, as one way award tickets, as if you wait for the seats to become available for the return trip, any award seats for the outbound leg may already have been snagged by others.

As well as getting in early (the exact day the flight you want to take becomes available on the web site, and even to the time of day they are released):

* be prepared to be flexible as to departure port in Australia (and even the arrival / departure port in the USA, if you can);

* also be flexible as to dates;

* consider non direct routes - eg via HKG on Cathay; there are others.

just have to wait for annual leave to be approved
also as a secondary question the bankwest 5 Qantas points per dollar seems to be the best earn why isn't the whole forum using it?
and how do i disable the forum deleting all my spaces/paragraphs?

Definitely look at all ports-SYD,MEL,BNE.
We have 2 J awards to lax on 29/11 this year.But we got those on 3/1 this year.We had to go out of MEL.Cost then 96000 each.
But in general look at the 353 day mark.
Coming back should not be as hard-most do not want to travel on Christmas day.

5 Qantas points per Eligible purchase, whether it be $1 or $1000 you only get 5 points.

That I believe is a problem with a particular web browser and the WYSIWYG message editor mode. You can either change browser, or switch the editor to "Source Mode", which you can find in Settings > General Settings > Miscellaneous Options > Standard or Basic Editor (scroll to the bottom).
