Hey guys,

just would like to clarify..

1. AS only gives QF miles
2. AS gives no SC
3. AS is not actually oneworld therefore no lounge access?

Trying to go from Socal to HNL.

Thanks :)

Just checked with the staff at the front desk at the AS lounge in LAX T6. According to them as a Qantas Club member (including SG and WP) you're allowed access into the LAX T6 lounge only, as this is the only airport which has QF flying into with connections to AS.

However the sign outside the elevator up to the lounge just mentions any QFF member when travelling on QF or AS. Sorry for the blurry photos but I took these in a bit of a rush in low light.

You could probably turn up and give it a shot at a lounge that isn't the one in LAX T6 and show them these photos?

As for the other two questions AFAIK that's correct. Flying on AS flight numbers only earns points and no SC's. (If it's part of a ticket to/from AUS there are QF codeshares available)

Thank you very much, I really appreciated your effort with the photo.

I will be flying from SAN, so heading over to google now to see what they have there. fingers crossed :)

Thanks Medhead, For some reason, AA was much more expensive for the exact same AS ticket..... so sadly.... I had to give up on the SCs which would have been about 300.
