Hi everyone,

I can't find details for the stopover in Singapore on an upcoming flight from MEL to LHR. It's QF9 departing Melbourne Weds 7th March at 1700 and arriving London Thu 8th March at 0545. I understand the stop is simply to refuel and we reboard the same aircraft afterwards to continue to London and that's why there's no actual stopover time quoted?

Problem is we have 5 travelling and only 2 ppl with QC membership. So I went to post in the March 2012 meeting thread and realised there's no point asking who's in the lounge around the time we'll be there to hopefully guest our "extra" person in if I don't know WHEN we'll be there

Does anyone have typical times for this stopover that can help? Failing that I'll just have to hope someone here on the forum is on the same flight on that day and can help us out. Thanks.

It's usually a bit over an hour or so. Long enough to go to the lounge for a shower (or get the skytrain to T2 to buy mrs. opusman a birthday present from Tiffany's :) )

ETA ~8hrs after leaving MEL.

LOL opusman I have a LIST from Tiffany from Mrs MonoJoker and locations of their stores in all major airports on my itinerary! Now if anyone knows the time of arrival I can go cap in hand to the Meetings forum and see if anyone will guest one of our party into the lounge. Cheers!

Flight Status will give you an idea, while not applicable to you the flight timings change around the end of daylight savings!

Awww seriously did you find that on the Qantas website that easily??? I searched Google, Qantas AND this forum to try and find the times to no avail. Thanks heaps that is exactly what I'm after!

QF9 on 7 March scheduled to arrive SIN at 2140, and depart from there for LHR at 2315. Info obtained by checking available flights under "Flight bookings' on the QF website in two stages - a MEL-SIN flight, then changing your location (at top right of QF home page) to Singapore, and doing the same for a SIN-LHR flight. QF9 is among the options displayed in each case. Of course, whether it meets schedule is another thing altogether. :)

IMHO the lounge staff in SIN and very accommodating to your wishes.

They would probably just let the extra person in if the lounge is not full.

At that time it is not peak capacity but who knows if some flights are delayed.
