QF9 and QF1 did not go beyond DXB to LHR on May 12,13

Does anyone know why QF9 then QF1 did not proceed on the DXB-LHR leg but stayed in DXB and operated the QF10,2 on the subsequent DXB-SYD or DXB-MEL sectors.

Poor pax loadings?

Wasn't there an announcement several weeks ago that some flights in May were going to be altered like this? I think I remember seeing a thread about something like that.
